Q Practice Nine -- Five Daily Pauses • Points 15 • Submitting a text entry box or a file upload • File Types doc and docx Muslims pause five times each day to pray, facing Mecca. Our secular version of this sacred practice will be to pause five times each day -- to connect with our core values, to remember our intention for the day, to take a mindful breath. You might be surprised to discover how challenging it is to pause five times a day. If we are closing our eyes to sleep and realize that this is our first pause of the day, what does this tell us about our lives? The pause is what matters most. Muslims have set times -- one each at the beginning and end of the day, and three others spaced throughout waking hours. Experiment with reminders to pause -- smartphones can be our aides. This ninth practice in your Practice Log is due 5/9. Our goal is to practice every day. From your daily entries, choose five entries to copy/paste and submit as your Practice Log entry for this week. This is the last of the Nine Practices and will conclude the set from which you will write your Practices Assessment reflection paper. Think about which Practices you might take with you at the end of the course.
